I woke up on April 6, 2019 with this song in my head. I almost lost it but I got up to write it down and I kept writing. About an hour later I had it finished. I recorded a demo on a little held Olympus voice recorder and I played it all day. Around 8 p.m. my techo savy son hooked me up to his computer and I recorded this. It's only 1:19 but I imagine someone could produce a longer version, Neil Young certainly would. I was thinking the of the great Nashville songwriter-storyteller Tom T. Hall when I wrote this. Shel Silversteen comes to mind, Willie Nelson could do a good take on this song. I'd like Hayes Carll to hear it.
